The 2nd International Conference on Enhanced Spectroscopies [ICES 2015], will take place from 12-15 October 2015 at the Palazzo della Cultura in Messina, Italy.

Following the previous editions of ICES 2012 in Porquerolles (France) and SES 2014 in Chemnitz (Germany), ICES 2015 will bring together scientists experts in the field of plasmon enhanced spectroscopies and plasmonics coming from all around the world, to share their latest results, put forward open questions and address future developments in the field.

The conference will cover both fundamental and applicative aspects presented by invited internationally renowned scientists, together with oral and poster contributions.

The conference topics will include:

  • Surface- and Tip- Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS/TERS)
  • Surface- and Tip- Enhanced Infrared Spectroscopy (SEIRA/TEIRA)
  • Metal Enhanced Fluorescence Spectroscopy (MEF)
  • Enhanced Non Linear and Quantum Phenomena
  • Plasmon Enhanced Nanosensors
  • Enhanced Optical Forces
  • Novel Materials for Plasmon Enhanced Spectroscopy
  • Enhanced Thermo-plasmonic Effects

ICES 2015 will be held in Messina – the gateway to Sicily – founded by the Greeks in the second half of the 8th century BC. Today the city is growing and developing along the coast as a commercial port. Messina is a florid center of scientific culture with its University founded in 1548 and three institutes belonging to the National Council for Research.

Messina is close to some of the world top touristic destinations, Taormina and the Aeolian Islands, where visitors can experience a perfect mix of historical culture, charming and relaxed atmosphere, stunning panoramas over active volcanoes and blue-cobalt see.

We look forward to welcoming you in Messina next October 2015.
