EPS Executive Committee and Staff activities December 2016

5 December 2016: Christophe Rossel, EPS president, represented EPS at the inauguration ceremony of the Swiss Free Electron Laser (SwissFEL) at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Villigen, Switzerland.

8 December 2016: David Lee, EPS Secretary General, and Frédéric Burr, EPL staff editor, participated in the EPL Strategy Plan meeting in Paris, France.

9 December 2016: Christophe Rossel took part in the second meeting of the Open Science Policy Platform [OSPP] at the European Commission in Brussels. This meeting focused on the operation modes of the OSPP, and on specific topics like Citizen Science, the European Open Science Cloud and Open Access Publishing by 2020.

14 December 2016: : Christophe Rossel chaired the first meeting of the EPS Advisory Board on Science Policies [ABSP] organized at CERN, Geneva. Rudiger Voss, EPS President-elect, Walter van Doninck, Luc van Dyck and David Lee from EPS were present to meet the ABSP members and Rolf Heuer, member of the EU Science Advisory Mechanisms (SAM).
