The 22nd international colloquium on magnetic films [ICMFS-2015] and surfaces took place from 12-17 July 2015 in Kraków, Poland. ICMFS-2015 continues the tradition of previous colloquia started in 1964 in London and brings together scientists from all areas of magnetism in lower dimensions. The Colloquium aims at exchange of new results and ideas for advancing the field of magnetism at surfaces, interfaces, in micro- and nanostructures as well as of spin-dependent phenomena.

About 230 participants from 22 countries attended the talks and joined in the poster presentations. The EPS gave a poster prize to the best student poster presentation. The winner on this year’s edition is Helena Rechlova, from the Institue of Physics ASCR, Praha, Czech Republic. View her poster at:

ICMFS-2015 is a satellite conference to the International Conference on Magnetism that was held on 5-10 July 2015 in Barcelona, Spain ( The next ICMFS will take place in 2018 in the United States.
