Perspectives – Four short reviews published by leading researchers on subjects of great impact in physics are now online at http://www.epljournal.org/focus/Perspectives

Editor’s Choice – Several Editor’s Choice articles have already been published for 2015 (see: EPL Featured articles) with some Highlights for 2014 at http://www.epljournal.org/page/Highlights-of-2014.

Award – EPL provided over €22,000 to 25 events during 2014 and will continue to support young researchers during 2015. Award winners during 2014 are available on the EPL website.

Events – Promotional materials will be available at exhibits at many events throughout the year. See the forthcoming conferences which EPL staff members might attend:

- Graphene 2015  in Bilbao;

- Photoptics in Berlin;

- DPG CM Spring in Berlin;

- AERC  in Nantes.

Printed issues – Note that print subscribers to EPL from this year onwards will receive 1 print copy each month, each containing 2 issues of the journal. The first print copy distributed in February will contain content from volume 109 issues 1 & 2.

8 January: John Dudley, EPS President, participated in the IYL2015 Opening Ceremony in France.
19 - 20 January: Opening Ceremony of the 2015 International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies, UNESCO, Paris, France. EPS staff together with EPS Young Minds volunteers prepared the venue of the participants.
