EPS Executive Committee and Staff activities, December 2018

7 December 2018: Frédéric Burr, EPL staff editor, and David Lee, EPS Secretary General, attended the EPL Board of Directors Meeting, Mulhouse, France.

17 December 2018: Rüdiger Voss, EPS president, represented the EPS at the SESAME Council Meeting held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.

December 2018: Luc Bergé, member of the EPS Executive Committee and chair of the EPS Equal Opportunities Committee, organised the 2018 Winter session of the Emmy Noether Distinction and selection of the Laureate with the members of the Equal Opportunity Committee, including the Young Minds Chair. Receipt and treatment of data related to the general survey on gender monitoring in the EPS-supported conferences took place. Luc Bergé also advertised and prepared the first edition of the Letokhov Medal. First round of selection proceeded by the Prize committee composed of 3 members of QEOD, 3 members of AMOPD and 1 member from ISAN/Troitsk (Chair of the prize committee: L. Bergé).
