Celebrating 50 years of EPS

On 28 September 2018, the EPS will organise a Festakt, at the University of Geneva in the main auditorium, the same room that hosted the inaugural meeting of the European Physical Society in 1968. This will also be the General Meeting of the EPS, and all members are welcome to attend. The meeting is tentatively scheduled to begin in the afternoon of 28 September and end with an aperitif for participants. We are expecting some outstanding speakers that will summarise 50 years of EPS history, discuss current challenges in physics, and present perspectives for the future.
