The EPS Young Minds ‘Best Activity Award’ for 2017 has been won by the Vilnius Section, Lithuania. Details can be found here. The section organised a 4-day conference in Vilnius with over 300 presenters from 20 countries, covering a wide range of topics and many other related activities. The prize consists of a cash sum. This award is sponsored by EPL.

A new Perspective has been published – “Chimera states: Effects of different coupling topologies” by Bidesh K. Bera, Soumen Majhi, Dibakar Ghosh and Matjaž Perc, and is freely available to read or download here.

EPL distinguished referee awards recognise a selected group of reviewers who have provided exceptionally useful and constructive assessments of articles submitted for publication in EPL during the previous year. Those selected are offered a certificate of merit and a 3-year free ordinary membership of the EPS. The current list of awardees can be viewed here.

EPL retains a low Article Processing Charge of only 1,400 euro for publishing articles as open access. Recent additions to the collection can be found here.

Norwegian Physicist Meeting

The Norwegian Physicist Meeting will be held in Tromsø, Norway, from 7-9 August 2017. It will be organised by the Norwegian Physical Society in collaboration with the Department of Physics and Technology at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway.
