Amendment Proposed to EPS Council 2020 Lifetime Membership

The European Physical Society Executive Committee will present to Council 2020 an amendment to the Annexe 1 of the EPS By-laws, introducing a “lifetime membership option”. The text of the proposed amendment is:
§7 Lifetime Membership
Upon application, any member in category 3a, 3b, and 3c may choose a lifetime membership of the EPS by choosing to pay 15 times the current amount of the membership fee for the member’s respective category.”

On October 15th, the European Physical Society (EPS) presented the new report “The Importance of Physics in the Economies of Europe” at the Press Club Brussels Europe. The report was commissioned by the EPS as an independent economic analysis from the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) .
