The 13th European Solar Physics Meeting (ESPM-13) will take place at Ixia, Rhodes between 12-16 September this year. The event, which is being held within the Rodos Palace Convention Resort, has been declared a Europhysics Conference by the European Physical Society.

ESPM-13 will play host to a discussion of the following topics: chromospheric and coronal heating; emergence and evolution of magnetic flux in the solar atmosphere; origin and properties of the solar wind; the science of future heliospheric missions and telescopes; science with cutting-edge heliospheric missions; the Sun as a whole: large-scale flows, helioseismology, magnetism, and the solar cycle; solar instabilities, flares, and coronal Mass Ejections; space weather research and solar data assimilation; and transient activity and seismology of the solar atmosphere.

The deadline for abstract submission is the 18 May; with the deadline for early bird and late/accommodation registration being 25 July and 12 August respectively

Limited funding for travel and local support may be available to those attendees who need such. Applications for financial support should be completed on the conference website before 10 June.

As a Europhysics Conference, the EPS will be offering individual members travel grants. More information on this support can be found on the conference website.

ESPMs are held every three years, and host both invited and contributed oral and poster presentations from all aspects of contemporary solar physics. The meetings are organized by the Board of the European Solar Physics Division, which is a joint division of the European Astronomical and Physical Societies.

The conference is supported by the Academy of Athens, the European Association for Solar Telescopes, the European Physical Society, the National Observatory of Athens, the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory of the European Space Agency and the Solar-Terrestrial Investigations and Archives project.
