Nine scientific pioneers receive the 2016 Kavli prizes

OSLO, NORWAY – Nine pioneering scientists from Germany, Switzerland, the UK and the USA have been named this year’s recipients of the Kavli Prizes – prizes that recognise scientists for their seminal advances in astrophysics, nanoscience and neuroscience.

2012 Kavli Prizes awarded

The winners of the 2012 Kavli Prizes – which are awarded in the fields of astrophysics, nanoscience and neuroscience – have been announced. The awards – which include a total cash prize of 1 million dollars in each field – were presented by His Majesty King Harald V of Norway at a special ceremony held in Oslo on 4 September this year.
