EPJ@20 – Celebrating 20 Years of the European Physical Journal
2018 saw the 20th anniversary of the founding of EPJ, the European Physical Journal. Launched in 1998, EPJ brought together the combined strengths of some long-established national European physics journals, starting with the initial merger of Journal de Physique, Il Nuovo Cimento and Zeitschrift für Physik, and continuing with the adoption and in- corporation of Acta Physica Hungarica, Anales de Fisica, Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, Fizika A, and Portugaliae Physica. e EPJ Scientific Advisory Committee includes now members from 25 European learned societies.

The European Physical Journal (EPJ) consists of a series of high-quality peer-reviewed journals (8 traditional and 8 open access) covering the whole spectrum of pure and applied physics and related interdisciplinary subjects. EPJ also includes the EPJ Web of Conferences and maintains editorial transfer coordination with EPL.

New portal for EPJ
In November, the European Physical Journal [EPJ] opened its new online portal that allows to easily access to the articles published in EPJ journals and to archives of predecessor publications.
With more than one century of physics-related publications, the EPJ series is comprised of 13 peer-reviewed journals covering a wide spectrum of physics.
