EPS Executive Committee and Staff activities January 2019
3 – 6 January 2019: Patricia Helfenstein, EPS conferences manager, Ahmed Ouarab, EPS IT manager, and Ophélia Fornari, EPS conferences assistant, were in Seefeld, Austria, to organise the 7th International Topical Meeting on Nanophotonics and Metamaterials.
21 January 2019: Rüdiger Voss, EPS president and Gina Gunaratnam, communication coordinator, attended the meeting of the EPS Historic Sites Selection Committee in Stockholm. The meeting was organised by Karl Grandin, chair of the EPS History of Physics Group who took over from Luisa Cifarelli as chair the EPS HS committee.
January 2019: Luc Bergé, member of the EPS Executive Committee, chaired the prize committee for the first edition of the EPS QEOD/AMOPD Letokhov Medal. He also organised the interview with Prof. Chiara Mariotti, laureate of the 2018 Winter edition of the Emmy Noether Distinction.
