We are glad to bring to your attention the International Conference on “Colloidal Science and Metamaterials“, which will be held next 25th, 26th and 27th February 2019, at the Institut Pierre-Gilles de Gennes pour la Microfluidique, in Paris, under the aegis of the MICROFLUSA Horizon 2020 project.

This three-day meeting objective is to foster research aiming at the elaboration of new materials, by coupling colloidal science, soft matter and metamaterials, with a particular focus on subjects such as band gaps, hyperuniformity and self-assembly, bringing together experimentalists and theorists.

The conference will consist of single plenary sessions with both oral and poster presentations in addition to in-depth talks given by great international speakers:

  • Eli Yablonovitch, University Of California, Berkeley
  • David J. Pine, New York University
  • Frank Scheffold, University of Fribourg
  • Salvatore Torquato, Princeton University
  • Paul Chaikin, New York University (to be confirmed)

Details regarding the abstract submission, the registration as well as the covered topics are available on https://www.csm2019.com/

We look forward to seeing you soon in La Ville Lumière, Paris.

Sincerely,
The organising committee

The Microflusa project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 664823.
