The international summer school “Fundamental Problems in Statistical Physics” is to be held for the fourteenth time in the summer of 2017 in Bruneck, a picturesque town in the Italian Alps.

With a deadline of  31st March 2017, it is possible to apply to attend the summer school: https://fpspxiv.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/8

The program comprises a number of pedagogical introductions to fundamental areas of statistical mechanics, given by leading experts in the field. Each theme is developed in two two hour lectures. As well as the regular lectures, some topical subjects will be discussed in seminars led by invited speakers. The format of the school allows ample time for discussions and interactions with the speakers and the other participants. All participants are invited to present a poster on their own research. In one or several poster sessions, these posters can be visited and discussed by the participants and lecturers. The program also includes an excursion on Sunday 23rd March.

Lectures will begin on Monday July 17 in the morning. Participants are expected to arrive in Bruneck on Sunday July 16 in the afternoon/evening. The last lecture is on Friday evening, July 28. Participants are expected to leave on Saturday morning, July 29, after breakfast.
