Report from the ECAMP12 conference

ECAMP12, the 12th European Conference on Atoms, Molecules and Photons organised by the Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Division [AMOPD] of the EPS took place at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany from September 5-9 2016. About 440 registered participants from 41 countries discussed the latest developments in their field. 445 posters were presented spanning topics such as collisions, photon driven processes, cold atoms and ions, metrology and quantum information. During the conference the newly founded EPS young scientist prize in atomic, molecular and optical physics was awarded. The first recipient was Christian Brand (University of Vienna) for his work on an atomically thin matter-wave beam splitter. Poster awards for the best poster of each poster session went to Anne Müller, Christian Ozga, Andreas Hans (all Kassel), Emma Anderson (Stockholm), Stefan Donsa (Vienna).The whole set of information on ECAMP12 can be found at http://www.ecamp.uni-frankfurt.de/index.htm.

The next ECAMP will be held in Florence, Italy from 8-12 April 2019.
