International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi”

The International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi”, one of the most significant cultural activities of the Italian Physical Society, was founded in 1953 by the president at that time, Giovanni Polvani.

The Courses of the School, usually held in summer, have by now become an opportunity for scientists and young physicists from all over the world and have reached considerable international prestige.

The programme of the Summer Courses 2016 is following:

  • Course 196 – Metrology: from physics fundamentals to quality of life
    27 June – 6 July 2016
  • Course 197 – Foundations of Quantum Theory
    8 – 13 July 2016
  • Course 198 – Quantum simulators
    22 – 27 July 2016
