Call for expressions of interest to host EuNPC2018

The Nuclear Physics Division [NPD] of the European Physical Society [EPS] is calling for expressions of interest to host the European Nuclear Physics Conference 2018 [EuNPC2018].

Previous conferences in this series were the following:

• EuNPC2009: Bochum, Germany
• EuNPC2012: Bucharest, Romania
• EuNPC2015: Groningen, Netherlands

These expressions of interest should be sent to Johan Nyberg johan [dot] nyberg [at] physics [dot] uu [dot] se (scientific secretary of the EPS Nuclear Physics Division) by 31 March 2016. They should contain some preliminary information on the Local Organising Committee, the involved Universities and/or Laboratories, the location of the conference, the foreseen costs, and the expected financial contributions from sources other than conference fees. Details on the information that should be given for consideration of the expressions of interest can be requested from Johan Nyberg.

Through this Call the Director of Science solicits from the broad scientific community proposals for the competitive selection of new "Science Ideas", to be investigated in terms of feasibility and needed technology developments.
Interested parties planning to submit a proposal are required, as indicated below, to send a mandatory Letter of Intent by 9 May and will be invited to attend a briefing meeting on 8 June (date TBC).
The present Call is open to science ideas in all areas of Space Science. No limitations to the science goals addressed are imposed on the proposals.
