The Inspiring Science Conference [ISE] 2016 will be held in Athens at the premises of Ellinogermaniki Agogi from 22-24 April 2016. Educators, scientists, future teachers, policy makers, outreach organisations and interested stakeholders are cordially invited to participate in this 3-day event of reflection and celebration of inspiring science teaching.

The aim of the ISE 2016 is to present and discuss results and best practices from ISE’s large scale implementations, as well as to provide an opportunity for researchers, teachers and policy makers to explore innovative approaches to science teaching, new technological applications in STEM, the role of Big Ideas in science teaching, and ultimately to offer a glimpse into the science classroom of the future.

The Inspiring Science Education project aims at providing digital resources and opportunities for teachers to help them make science education more attractive and relevant to students’ lives.

Inspiring Science Education Academy 2016

The Inspiring Science Education Academy 2016 [ISE] is specifically designed for teaching professionals in STEM disciplines and consists of several courses. The main objectives of all ISE courses are to introduce teachers to implementing Inquiry Based Science Education (IBSE). Teachers and education professionals will be trained in transferring the concept of scientific methodology into the classroom and linking it with the numerous collections of open digital educational resources to design innovative educational scenarios.
