Leti is an institute of the CEA (Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), a French research-and-technology organization with activities in energy, IT, healthcare, defence and security. Leti is focused on creating value and innovation through technology transfer to its industrial partners. It specializes in nanotechnologies and their applications, from wireless devices and systems, to biology, healthcare and photonics.

On 15 April 2015, the foundations of Leti’s new platform for photonics was laid in Grenoble, France. The new building will be located on the innovation campus MINATECH and will be the home of all the activities of Leti dedicated to optics and photonics: new technologies for generating, transmitting, processing and converting of light will be developped in numerous fields like LED lighting, infrared imaging or communications systems.

With this new centre, Leti will be reinforced as leader in this dynamic field.
