The Odysseus contest, launched in July 2012, has extended its submission deadline to 15 February 2013.

Students of 14-18 years of age are invited to design and demonstrate a space-themed project. The pupils are encouraged to develop their critical thought and go beyond their actual scientific knowledge with the help of a teacher.

The contest encourages the use of techniques from the inquiry-based science education. Many resources are available for teachers on the contest website.

The winners will participate in the event that will be held on 18-19 April. It consists of a visit of ESA/ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, and the European astronauts training centre in Cologne, Germany.
