New members elected to EPS-NPD Board

The EPS Nuclear Physics Division would like to welcome its newly elected Board members, Karlheinz Langanke (GSI and TU Darmstadt – Darmstadt, Germany) and Faiçal Azaiez (Institut de Physique Nucléaire – Orsay, France).

At the same time, the EPS and the NPD would like to thank Héloïse Goutte and Horst Stöcker for their hard work and dedication over the years.

EPS Divisions and Groups are essential to the EPS. They are created by interested and motivated physicists to engage in various activities, such as the organisation of conferences, awarding prizes, drafting position papers and statements etc.

The EPS Secretariat provides central services to Divisions and Groups: administrative, financial, IT, conferences, etc. All EPS members are encouraged to indicate in their profiles which Divisions and Groups they wish to join.

Underneath the “Old Man in Military Costume” painted by the Dutch artist Rembrandt in the years 1630/31, investigations spotted another portrait which was only faintly distinguishable with all applied technologies.
