The European Higher Education Area in 2012: Bologna Process Implementation Report” was published at the end of last month. The report both details how the higher education landscape in 2012 has been affected by the Bologna Process and the current state of process implementation from various perspectives.

Topics covered in the document include: the demographic and funding context for higher education; degree structures and qualifications; quality assurance; the social dimension of higher education; outcomes and employability; and lifelong learning and mobility. The report concludes that, despite much progress having been made, European countries still face significant challenges in modernising higher education.

The report was produced by Eurostat, Eurostudent and Eurydice and was overseen by the Bologna Follow-Up Group.
